 Communicative method of learning English Communicative method of learning English, or Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), is an approach that focuses on using language for real communication rather than only studying rules. Based on the text, this method is very relevant in Indonesia where English is a foreign language and students often have limited opportunities to use it outside the classroom. Many learners feel bored and unmotivated because traditional methods still rely on lectures, grammar explanation, memorization, and translation. These methods make students passive and dependent on the teacher, so they rarely practice speaking or interacting in English. As a result, even though students learn English from an early age, many of them cannot master the four main skills.
